Note that only the inauguration ceremony and inaugural address will take place on the evening of March 22 at 6:30. Panels and other activities are scheduled on March 23 and 24. We will be sending the preliminary program in the coming days.

Location of the Congress

 

 

Transportation

  • CITY BUS (OCTRANSPO http://www.octranspo.com): From the airport to the university campus, the cheapest option is to take local bus #97 (see schedule: http://www.octranspo.com/routes?rte=97) to the intersection of Laurier Avenue East and Nicholas Street (Laurier Station/University of Ottawa). Single tickets cost: $3.75. Exact change is required. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes.
  • TAXI / UBER: Cost to downtown is $35-$40.
  • FOR PARTICIPANTS TRAVELLING FROM MONTREAL / TORONTO. From Montreal by Greyhound bus, you may disembark downtown at the University of Ottawa (Laurier and Nicholas) before the bus heads to the central station; from Toronto, the bus arrives directly at the central station. From there, the bus service is a block away on Bank Street ($3.75) and taxis are available at the station (around $10 to the campus).

Snacks and Drinks

  • During the Congress we will offer a continental breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, fruit and pastries) between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. We will also provide a light lunch, so that participants need not leave the campus.
  • The few restaurants on campus offer a very limited food selection and are closed   evenings and weekends.

Internet and Computers

  • During the Congress you will have access to the internet on campus.
  • The congress is unable to provide access to computers or printers. Documents can be printed nearby at Merriam Print: https://merriamprint.com (252 Laurier Ave East).
