In 2011, Renee-Maude started her degree at the University of Ottawa with a major in Spanish and a minor in Style and Writing in French. She graduated Magna Cum Lade in 2014. While studying, she worked at a tutoring agency in Quebec as a French teacher. A passionate traveler, she finished her studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in Taxco, where she also volunteered at a French teacher. Renee is currently still teaching, both as a French teacher for the same tutoring agency, and as a Teaching Assistant of Spanish at the University of Ottawa. She is in the second semester of her Masters studies in Spanish Linguistics, as she is passionate about the evolution of languages. Her research paper focuses on the use of subjunctive by children Heritage Speakers of Spanish.
