Vanier Scholarship for Simon-Pier Labelle-Hogue

Simon-Pier Labelle-Hogue, currently an MA student in our department, has been awarded the highly prestigious SSHRC Vanier Scholarship to pursue PhD studies at McGill University.  The focus of Simon-Pier’s project  will be on the sociological mapping of Québec counterculture authors using paratextual information (forewords, quotes, etc.), under multi-stratal network theory and field theory. The long term objective is to uncover the behavior of subcultures and the organization of literary and sociological movements using sociographic, historical and linguistic data.
