My research interests fall within the general areas of phonology, phonetics, and language acquisition.

I am primarily interested in how people learn the phonological patterns of their language(s). Using experimental and computational methods, my research investigates how phonological learning might be constrained and how we can model the phonological grammar and its acquisition.

I also have secondary interests in experimental phonetics and Austronesian languages.

Before coming to the University of Ottawa, I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Linguistics at UCLA, under the supervision of Bruce Hayes and Megha Sundara.
