This presentation will analyze the discourses of memory, and their modalities in the making of this film. The main objective is to explain how these discourses of memory are invested and reworked by the fiction. What are the discursive modalities that control their use? How memory is constructed in the narrative? Beyond the representation of history, what are the esthetic, technical and figurative ways to foreground the issues of memory in _Camp Thiaroye?
